$400 is quite a sum for childcare subsidy. It makes quite a lot of difference if you plan to send your child to private kindergartens , which can cost more than $1k a month. As for PAP childcare, they have more subsidy for household with income less than $7500 a month. Play group is good for the kids, they learn to interact with others and learn to be independent. My 3 kids all went thru child care from N1 to K2, quite some years.

Yes agree. Single income family is not easy in Singapore. Most of the time if the viet spouse work, they will send most money back to vn too.

PAP community foundation... Financial assistance KiFAS scheme.
Household gross income need to be $3500 or less. If higher, then per capita income nit to exceed $875.... I am not eligible.

few private k near my area... Range from $700+ to $1200 per mth.

These 2 mths my bx got income from a sideline we do... She send bigger portion of the money to vn (claimed to loan someone in family and to give patents the standard mthly allowance)

then she also give my mum some amount... Some amount in cda account.. some reinvest in sideline... she knows what lies ahead (son edu and new home reno)

never say never...till you try and exhaust all search...anyway takes time and effort to search...

if you remain status quo...then yes...you shall remain single and with no honey...choice is yours...nobody can help you if you dun help yourself...

bro seletar and I are ah peks...yet we are deemed attractive enough in Vietnam...we can have many gals each day if we choose to have and definitely spoilt for choice...yet I will choose one that loves me more than I love her...

after so many years in Vietnam...I learned alot about Viet cultures and can see thru a Viet gal as if they are transparent...also successfully guided several frens to get their gf/bx...

So there is always a basic subsidy of $300 no mater which income bracket we are at??...
