I have just returned from HCM, so memory still a bit fresh. I stayed in Tandinh market area, and there is a river and a bridge called hoang hoa tam bridge that shortcut to Phunhuan district. My vietnamese friends like to drink there just near the bridge and price is local and reasonable. Some cafes have girls that sits with customers and they received tips for the time spend talking with you. If you can jio them to hotel, price need nego, but my Vietnamese friend always say they dont have 1 Million Dong. Seems like this is the normal rate. But I never tried becos paiseh since I am with someone who know where I work. Scared kana blackmail in office.

- Dmg: bucket of tiger crystal 1.2mil vnd (for 4 bros) + 300k mummy tip (i personally felt the mummy didn't do her job of managing the butterfly situation properly) + 500k tip per sitting gal. If you engage the bar girl, tip is 200k.
- No. of Girls: Saw about 20-30+
Playability:
a) At the bar (girls more chio) - Zero playability. Talking only, zero to little touching.
b) At the seating area: Very Low playability (i.e. lower than hcm ktvs and some restaurants). You can place your hand on their backs, no touching sensitive areas and some girls may make issue about touching their waist.
- Butterfly: Honestly for 500k tip, comparing across hcm, was disappointed at the frequent butterfly. There are other places where girls stay all the way for 500k. We had a table of 4 bros. 3 of the girls butterfly, only 1 stayed all the way.
- Ambience: Very good. Has live stage band, bar with pretty girls. Place is well decorated.
- Rtf: No. Not my style due to the very low playability and butterfly. Although many other bros who like to chill, chat with girls, build gfe may enjoy this place.

What's the diff between 500k tips gal and bar gal? Since both type very low playability....

1127 and 700 have common shareholders but different boss running the show. It is staffed by different mummies with their own girls. Girls do not usually move between the houses unless requested by regular clients as mummies do not like to share girls. Most girls speak some Chinese or English. Would rate girls between 6 to 8. Have come across the occasional 9 stunner, but very rare and they seldom if ever go out.

Although considered as mid-tier, it's not cheap. For a group of 4 guys with 4 girls, the room + drinks + tidbit costs can be anywhere between 8M to 10M VND. That's excluding mummy tips (500K), manager/waiter (300K) and girl sitting fee (500K).

ST is 3M and LT is 5M which is above market rate. The good thing about this place is that the girls if they declare they will go out, they cannot back out later like in China KTV with some lame excuse. Once they declare upfront they can go out, if they are selected, they have to go out with the customer even if the guy looks and smells like Shrek. Girls sometimes do butterfly but if you know the mummy well, the girls will stay put and not butterfly unless Ang Pai.

To get a good selection of girls, it is advisable to go there before 8pm. Girls all report to work by 7+.

You meant Fortune 700 at Tran Hung Dao?

Used to be cheap there not too long ago. Last time I went with my FB to get standard (clean) massages also price doubled from the year ago. And the girls started to get pushy for tips. I think I paid something silly like 250k for normal room and 200k for tips. Per person. Even my FB which is local saigonese tried to negotiate also to no avail.

Came out at about 2am, saw some nice cute KTV girls outside...not bad....but nothing spectacular.

Normally I hang out in the afternoon at the nhat Nguyet cafe just opposite of 700.

200k tip bar girl talk with you at the bar counter area. They are standing and quite "out of touching reach". The 500k tip girl sit with you, and being beside you is thus more within touching reach. Can touch abit but super limited because some will say cannot hold waist etc.

If you are into playability, this is not the place to go. Is more for chatting and chillax bros. My personal view.

- Date: 30 Dec 2018 10am - 11.30pm
- Dmg: 1.2+mil [500k+ rm, 300k 1hr singing, rest is beer & snacks] + 500k mummy tip + 100k waiter tip = 1.8mil ÷ 2pax = 900k per pax + 500k tip per girl
- Playability: low (hug waist, drink, play games, thats it)
- No. of girls: Poor. About only 10 were brought into our room after multiple rounds.
- Butterfly: No butterfly but must clarify with mummy.
- Roberto: Bros please note these 3 things (which generally applies to most ktvs in hcm):
1) More than 1 mummy may come into the room. To avoid misunderstanding at the end of the session (e.g. them requesting for 2 × 500k mummy tips, which they will do) inform the 2nd mummy when she first enters the room that u will only be tipping 1 mummy. I had to do this for this particular 1135 ktv joint.
2) Ask the waiter to take away the plate of snacks (it is ridiculously over priced). I did this for 1135 joint.
3) Watch the girls carefully if they pour away the beer. Did not happen at this 1135 Joint, but happened before to a bro at another joint at 233.

After reading some of the replies here about bargirl and tips etc. I got very confused about HCM city. My experience drinking with my Vietnamese colleagues is very different from what is described here leh, in term of price difference and cafe ambience at least. Maybe I was drinking just outside D1, in Phunhuan district, and with a friend, but it is not that far out from district 1 , yet the experience is so much different. HCM is very explorable and interesting.

To whoever deduct my points, yes the price differential and experience is different between high priced D1 and cheaper Phunhuan. Will continue to enjoy HCM, and will continue to explore and post FR what so ever. Peace. ����

Look guys, I will be in HCM regularly with my vietnamese colleague. I am willing to share more FR, especially with a local guiding me. You can continue to be unhappy, but I think it is good to share more local experience, even if you dont like it and continue to deduct points, it wont matter much to me.
