"It" yielded 3 meanings?? If I remember correctly, I did not mention it( one word ) but 3 different words...namely apprehend, apprehended and apprehensive. 3 different words with 3 different meanings. 3 different meanings does not mean you can use them interchangeably.

You are right to note that there are thousands of styles in writing in the English Language. However, RIGHT CHOICE of words is important because using the WRONG words change the meaning of your message entirely.

You highlighted the beauty of the English Language...so please accord it more respect by acknowledging yr faux pas.

By continuing to insist that the sentence was correct and the way you want it to mean only serves to corrupt and sully the very beauty of the language that you claim to admire and worse, it makes you look bad.
