i have no doubts that Kenny will stay and I hope the fans support him. He has made mistakes this season by overestimating some of his flops but still he is Mr Liverpool, for that alone he deserves more time.

sorry but one of the reasons he got sacked was because both captain and vice-captain did not feel confident working with him. Respect from players? maybe as a person but not as a boss.

kd can stay, but steve clark has to go. he is confusing kd too much with those 4-2-3-1 formation and defensive tactics that chelsea past managers like to employ.

go back to 442, like in eighties atatcking football and 2000-01, fowler and owen, heskey and owen, crouch and dirk etc. 2 strikers up there to busy the opponent defenders and when defenders busy, mistakes or mis tackles will provide goals.

The reason for liverpool low goal scoring this season is playing only 1 strikers like suarez, or carrol when suarez is banned for 8 matches. this 2 shld start, but instead kd is very firm on pairing spearing and henderson to start together on most match.

Football is played over 90 mins, not the last 25 mins.

Defeat was hard to swallow but I accepted it because we played rubbish in the first half. The 2 goals conceded was a result of slack defending and could have been prevented.

Unfortunately Lady Luck deserted us tonight. The goal could have been given on other occasions. It was a 50-50 situation, maybe some micro millimetres on or off the line. So let's stop blaming that dumb linesman!

It's debatable if the script would have changed to our favour had AC started. Altho it's immaterial now, I think AC justifies a place in the starting 11 come next week in the BPL rematch with the Blues.

Disappointing result. Wish we had more courage and played to win. First half was terrible. I think KD should go. He seems to have 'favourites' in his team. I don't understand what Henderson and Downing were doing. Kuyt is much better than Henderson and Kuyt isn't playing as much. I think Spearing is over-awed by the ocassion and let the pressure get to him.

The lineup is hard to accept.Liverpool has better players like maxi, kuyt and carroll on the bench !

Maxi shld play instead of downing, another brainless winger ! in the first half near the chelsea corner flag, shild have kick the ball into chelsea player to get corner, instead this joker try to turn back and pass to enrique in a tight position and off course the ball went to chelsea player.

How many times did suarez get the ball in the first half ? why play downing when carroll not there to be target in first half ? suarez taller than terry and ivan is it?

Maxi's and dirk's linked up play with suarez has produced results before. Downing just can't read suarez play, downing is straight forward run and run to byline then gamble a cross over, never to see anyone there and most time the cross went over the line or too far!

In the next season, hope to see keita a midfielder from barca coming over. This chap got football brains and can hold the ball too. Calm and good control of rythm ,got vision for splitting passes and can run into box to score.

a replacement for alonso, someone to pass the ball FORWARD intelligently instead of backward passing OR WORST mispass we see so often this season.

Rewind the Liverpool vs Fulham game on 2 may and see go count how many times spearing and henderson miss pass to fulham players!

you are right,

we severely lack depth in our squad too.

how many offensive players in the first team squad do we have?

strikers: Carroll, Suarez, Kuyt, Eccleston, Suso (both youngsters)

wingers: Bellamy, Downing, Maxi, Sterling (youngster)

In the midfield we only have Gerrard who can attack. He is getting older too.

Players like Adam and Lucas (both injured), Henderson, Spearing and Shelvey are just ordinary central midfielders.

This explains why we have only scored 43 goals in the league all season! (last season we scored 59)

Both Eccleston and Suso did not even play for us in the league this season while Sterling only made 2 sub appearances for us.

Pacheco, Aquilani and Joe Cole are out on loan.

You don't expect to score many goals with such a thin squad!

Just imagine if there are injuries to players like Suarez and Maxi.

Jonjo shelvy shld have started in place of spearing in the 4231 formation kd employs. He is much taller and energetic than spearing. Also he is an aggressive but more ball confident player than spearing.

He will free gerrard to play more freely upfront with suarez. Did you guys see today gerrard always worry about the midfield play and always scurry back to help out and get a pass from spearing to push on ? Gerrard is busy baby sitting spearing and that leaves a void in the chelsea's channel and no one to support suarez.

Another detail you guys probably noticed is how suarez is always frustrated with spearing's slow, or over heavy pass or not running into spaces to collect return passes.

Suarez screamed at spearing a few times during the norwich game in which he scores a hatrick.

Well done lads...the team had played quite well in second half...but still come out short...the score line was respectable...

liverpool needs to go thru setbacks before they can bounce back...too much glorious days in the past...looking forward to next season...anyway next season is just Aug 2012...

before that euro 2012...hihi...i didn't sign up for the package...guess has to watch online...

I was watching on line and one of the commentators commented that KD is 20 years behind in his management and what worked then for Liverpool won't work now...

but i did stay on to watch the full game and felt that after AC goal, it galvanize the team to push further on unfortunately it was a matter of too little too late..if only they had played like they did in the last 20 mins for the first half...

Interesting. Steve Clarke has been exempt from criticism so far.

I think you hit the nail on the head - we need a solid holding mid in the class of Alonso or Mascher. Kenny tried to compensate by playing Henderson and Spearing, which is neither here nor there. Without a good holding mid, we have no defensive cover and cannot control the game. Remember Real Madrid with the Galaticos?

We have tried the wee man for a time now. He is OK and is an honest lad but is not good enough when it comes to the crunch. Several mistakes have cost us now in different matches.

I still believe in Henderson but Downing for me is not good enough. Little game intelligence and just tries to hit a cross all the time.

Like that Liverpool will be more in debts consider the current financial situation! I opinion KD should stay but to off load some players and bring in some attacking players. Lets look forward to next season as i have turned my attention to the NBA playoff! Can we bring in one 'Poolsanity'?
