If I am a trained lawyer and will to defend the guy in court, what I do is to ask the same question a few times by asking in different ways to see if the girl gives any contradicting answers. If she contradicts herself, most likely the judge will dismiss the case.

Till now i have not step into a court room, thank god 4that! I got a feeling, watched few moves of court cases on tv, this type of serious case. I got a feeling, so long as police charged him, the court will take consideration on the female victim.

Of course, the accuser was given the doubt till he is found guilty, if somebody anybody, that will be the accuser and lawyers asked stupid questions. I think the court will be very angry, unless the questions is very important backed by witness and proof. Or else forget it, i think Ong if he is rich, his parents will want to engage an experience lawyer.

Alleged victim’s mum breaks down while testifying

A WOMAN broke down on the witness stand yesterday while testifying @ the trial of a man accused of raping her daughter.

The 51-year-old housewife was recounting the events of Feb 12, 2009, when she lost her composure. She was 1 of 6 witnesses called 2 the stand @ the start of the trial of Ong Ming wee.

The 28-year-old accused, who helps out in his father’s minimart business, claimed trial on the charge of raping the then 22-year-old woman @ his Toa Payoh North flat in the early hours of tat day.

Yesterday, Ong was more than an hour late 4 his hearing.

His lawyer, Ms Goh Siok Leng, tried calling him, but 2 no avail. She then spoke 2 Ong’s father, who said he had left home.

When the court convened @ around 10.15am, District Judge Hamidah Ibrahim gave the benefit of the doubt 2 Ong, giving him 30 minutes 2 appear. He arrived @ abt 10.40am & counsel apologised on his behalf.

The alleged victim’s mother gave evidence tat she was awakened by a call fr her daughter, who was crying & calling out 4 her.

The housewife said she could not understand wat her daughter was saying – & then the line got cut.

She called her daughter back immediately, & a man answered, identified himself as Ken & said he was a friend. He said her daughter had had 2 much 2 drink – she had gone pubbing with her friends the night b4 – & assured the witness tat he would take her home.

“I went down 2 wait 4 her. I waited 4 20 mins, & she still had not come back,” said the witness. “So I called her handphone & she answered. She was saying: ‘Mummy, mummy, k you please come & get me?’

“I said: ‘Sure. Where r you nw? I will come & get you right now.’ She said she did not knw where she was. She said tat he wouldn’t let her go unless she had sex with him. Then the line was cut off,” she continued.

She tried calling her daughter, but the phone had been switched off. Worried, she woke her 2 other children up & told them tat their sister was in trouble.

Through her daughter’s friends, she managed 2 get Ken’s mobile phone number, but he did not answer his phone. Her 2 children continued calling their sister but got no response.

The mother then made a police report & called her husband, who was then in KL, 2 tell him wat had happened.

She said she did not know hw many times she called Ken b4 he finally answered 2 say tat her daughter was on her way home. He claimed tat she could not call back earlier as her mobile phone’s battery was flat.

“I asked him: ‘R you sure she is coming home?’ I asked him 2 jz let her go,” said the mother, b4 breaking down.

She said Ken assured her tat her daughter was indeed on her way home, but refused 2 give her his address. It was then around 6am.

Just then, her daughter came home on a motorcycle tat had a sidecar, driven by a 60-year-old sweeper who gave her a lift. He had found her @ a side road beside Block 203, Toa Payoh North.

The woman said tat her daughter’s hair was in a mess, & she appeared “very frightened” & was crying when she ran 2wards her & hugged her.

She took her 2 her room & asked if he had forced her. She nodded her head.

The maximum penalty 4 rape is a jail term of up to 20 years. The offender may also be fined or caned.

this is a no case.
She is of legal age. (Aged 22)
She drank till she lost. (Not as if her drinks were spiked)
She dirty danced with him willingly in front of all clubbers and whoever present. (People sure watching show)
She willingly followed her home. (Taxi driver can vouch)
She did not suffer any injuries suggesting of forced entry to whichever her doors. (Have or not?)
The only thing is she made crying calls back to mama after all those.
That so-called medical expert said she was 3times more intoxicated than those drink driving but she sober enough to call the right number to her mum?
