Anyway I played a bit more with WA, the locked chat section does hide itself after a while but still not very safe. I'd still housekeep any chats there

The number 1 rule since SMS days is to never keep messages that you don't want to be found out for. No amount of technology advancement has successfully prevented the discovery of messages that was not deleted.

I would even go so far as to tell you to block the contact when there are risk of her messaging you unsolicited.

For WA preferably to set auto deletion, if I'm not mistaken you can't delete on both sides after a certain time.

Telegram and Wechat has no limit to clear history on both ends.

Bonus tip for Telegram users who need to report bubble video to your wife or gf. Take the video into your own Saved Message section first. When you forward it to her, there won't be an indication that it was forwarded, as good as you took it live for her.

Go settings in the specific chat in WA (chat needs at least one msg if not lock feature won't appear) and select lock chat. The chat will now require biometrics to unlock. All content will disappear too. The locked chats don't appear also when open WA have to pull down for added secrecy.

I got bad exp kana caught by wife looking for dirty stuff so this works for me so much better than just disappearing messages. Just sharing for bros who like me didn't know of this...
