Totally agree bro. I've never seen her in real life, but in a TV interview programme. Without all the artificial effects as in a music video clip, she is not that sparkling. However, I didnt want to ruin all the bros mood by introducing the song is sang by a not so pretty girl

Continue... Minh Tuyết and Bằng Kiều. The guy actually was a favourite singer in Vietnam, but things changed a bit after he fled to USA. Some people turned their back to him and hate him. For me, I just enjoy the nice music like what the duet present bellow:

I'm in Singapore. Been here for the last 2 years. You must got quite much experience in VNmese life style. Though I'm a VNmese, I've only been to 4 out of the places listed in your signature

yup..totally agree....

will always listen to VN songs when feeling down as well....helps to release some stress...

went with frens end of last mth to cheong and realised that could not sing mandarin songs but could handle the VN songs...

...felt weird when trying to learn a new mandarin song ..could not catch the tune but when learning the VN song, did it with relative ease...

Sometimes When i listen i think of my wife ..... now dowloading new songs and Music videos ... heeheh ...

VN songs tune quite easy to catch .. the only problem is pronunciation ..

went KTV in VN .. i told the gal cannot speak TV leh .... but then san songs with her . wow liao .. kena left right center .. scold me XNN, cannot speak TV ... XAO ... I say no XAO .. cannot speak but can sing mah

If you know Chinese, it's easier for you to study Vnmese. The 2 languages share almost the same grammar and quite a number of words similar in pronunciation (as well as meaning) .

Ví Dụ:

Mandarin:
clothes -- yī fu -- y phục -- we call this as Chinese-Vietnamese word
(dunno English meaning of this one)-- lì hài -- lợi hại
escape -- táo zǒu -- đào tẩu

Cantonese:
student -- hok saang -- học sinh (South Vietnam could be: học sanh, actually 96% same pronunciation of Cantonese)
