From what I know, Clearly came to Singapore seeking to pay off the loan she took for the purchase of a new apartment, and ended up clearing off the loan, earning enough to fully pay for the renovation of the apartment, the purchase of a 2nd apartment and was starting to make money for the renovation of the 2nd apartment before the scandal about her broke. The problem is there is no rule of thumb. In the past year, there have been instances whereby MLs in the mid-30s advertising their age as 23. It used to be that you add about 2-3 years to the advertised age, but this is no longer the case. Now, you can add 4-5 years in most cases, and you'll be thanking your lucky stars.
