Yup, that's right, a heart attack, last 02 Feb. It was downhill from there. I had been in hospital all the while. I was discharged only yesterday so here I am now.

I will require a lot of work and therapy to recover. I had an open-heart double by-pass surgery, a major one according to my physiotherapists.

I cannot do "strenuous" activities for about 12 weeks, damn! That's about 3 whole fucking months!

Eventhough I will be out of action, rest assured I will still be keeping watch over the PSL and answer questions our other Bros might have. Thanks to bros who already posted some useful information and I shall address them later accordingly. Your points will be ups as long as I haven't ups you before.

To all Bros out there, please heed this warning:

Eat well and eat right, have a balanced diet. Always go for check-up, you must know your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Most importantly - STOP SMOKING! Social drinking is ok. As for exercise, must do 2 - 3 sessions per week with WL, hahaha!

Yes, yes, I really learned my lesson now I completely change my lifestyle. My eating habits and no more smoking.

After my by-pass surgery, it is possible that the new arteries may be blocked again after a few several if I don't take care. And I don't want another by-pass because it really is like going through hell!

Eat more Ter Huan Kiam Chye, Bak Kut Teh, Soup Kambing, Tulang, Orluat, Char Kway Teow ......... just joking

Actually changing the diet now does not really help as the damage was accumulated over the years and the plague has oredi hardened onto your arteries thus causing the blockage resulting in the heart attack.

What you should be concentrating your efforts on now is the recovery process..... damaged heart muscles can be repaired by the body's own cells...... take lots of vitamin E (minimum 3000 iu) and fish oil everyday...... avoid alcohol..... and must exercise daily.

My shixiong oso had heart attack 3 years ago...... and was sent to A & E late more than 60 hrs after the attack started...... heart muscles sustained 40% damage.

First few months after discharge from hospital damn jialat...... cannot even walk to bus stop as will become breathless and have chest discomfort..... everyday only sleep, sit and slow walk short distances.

My sifu brought him to Canada to see this famous cardiologist....... the doctor prescribed enormous dosage of vitamin E and fish oil and put him on exercise program....... he was told to eat normally with a sensible diet.

Now my shixiong is back to normal and even ran the marathon last december..... when he went back to the hospital for his follow up checkup... even the specialist was surprised at his recovery.

My changing of diet now is to take care of the new arteries that was grafted into my heart. Yes you are correct, during the attack, the heart sustained some injuries, luckily in my case, minor only.

Have lost the urge to PT recently, this afternoon was my my first trip since Nov/Dec 2010, with no target in mind.

Hiya everybody I am a GL cheongster but since most of the regular gals that I used to call have migrated PT I decided to give PT a try. Went to 1411 as I was her regular in GL.
