Going batam early next mth with a couple of frens...all including me newbie dunno anyting...but then i took the initiative to read the last 30 pages of tis thread so as to get rough idea where to cheong and where not to cheong and also came up wit tis plan of mine;

Budget: 100 SGD (i bring extra of cuz jz in case)

But tis one MY plan only hor so sure reach there diff story...u guys think reasonable or not? or will exceed budget? hehe Any opinion is greatly appreciated!

Ferry ticket two way, if you go via WaveMaster S$48

Hotel 1 night - S$25-120 (depending on what kind of room you expecting)
I think u better stay above avg ones like Swiss, 89, cost around S$50-55/night

Dinner for 4 person around Rp300K min at foodcourts ( Around S$11/pax)

Supper just ayam goreng alone cost you Rp 12K, if eat in hotel U prepare S$6 for fried rice, beehoon blah blah

Cewek Booking Rp 400K-1.5mil (Depending where u fish)

Taxi fare..within nagoya town per trip 10K - 15K. So U agar agar 5-8trips

Bro I think you better bring ALOT MORE extra cash. SGD100 chiong Batam 2D1N...not possible liao. Cfrm you need more than just SGD100.

thx for the info bro...i totally forgot bout the ferry...tat one only already takes a chunk out of my budget

are swiss and 89 in nagoya too?? im more interested in those cheapo ones around famosa as mentioned by someone in this thread...more nearer to the red-light area...and also as long not more than $40-$45 i happy liao...any recommendation on those so-called cheapo hotels??

tis one is the most tempting i've come across here in terms of comparing room standard against price...jus nice the suite got 3 rooms sumore considering $48 for 3ppl split wah save alot man!!

and one more thing is this hotel around nagoya too? very very very sorry so far ive yet find a detailed map of batam or the infamous nagoya area so dunno how to agak2 the distances of all the hotels from the fun area

Ur budget not impossible if it is not inclusive of ferry.
But really budget chun chun lor. Cannot anyhow spend and it can be done.
Here's how.

Ferry : $48
Taxi from terminal to Hotel : Rp5,000 (shared with friends)
Hotel : Rp100,000 (basic)
Cewek : Rp300,000 (basic)
Dinner : Rp50,000 (basic u & cewek)
Supper : Rp 25,000 (basic only u cewek usually dun eat liao)
Tip for cewek : Rp50,000 (basic)
Breakfast : Rp25,000 (basic for u)
Taxi to terminal : Rp5,000 (shared with frens)

Total : S$48 + Rp560,000

Find a hotel near most of the joints or u just walk to all the joints.
Save money on stupid taxi fares which are plainly overpriced.

A little suggestion that you want to choose gals, go at a earlier time, if you want to get better ones.

Also a little reminder that fridays evenings and sat are the hottest times of the week. Be sure to go AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, to secure a place in the ferry.

As for booking of taxis to jalan, be sure to nego the prices properly. The biggest mall currently is Nagoya Hill, where there are plenty of cheap food around, if you are into simple food, like coffee town, sawadeeka, godiva coffee, etc.

A & W? There is only one left, in BATAM CENTRE MEGAMALL. There use to be one in DCMALL, close down liao.

Pasar Malam? Infront of Paranoma Hotel, at night there is pasar malam, but I do suggest you dont go there, not for newbies. And beware of pickpockets.

Make sure you have in mind which hotel you want to stay first, dont let the taxi driver guide you. Sure kena chop robert.

Here is a tip, if you want to pick up gals, ask the taxi driver to drop you at Formosa, and you can recce the places yourself. No commission on taxi part. Infront( left side of formosa) is Queens, and DYnasty 99. If you dont like that one, on the right, across the kopitiam and Lucky plaza is New berlian.

If still not happy, behind CENTRE POINT MALL( next to Formosa Hotel) is Indah2, and femina( shop houses).

It is all within walking distance.

And most of the massage in that area are actually fuck shops( flamingo, PAS spa, linda, deasy, etc).

Always be careful of your wallet and dont flash your money about. And lastly always remember the rubber.

If you are thinking of cheapo hotels, there are plenty in that area(formosa) too,hallo hotel, gloris, etc....

Since you all are going with a few friends, might just as well have a mass orgy in room in Formosa? hahahaha

Since u want something near Formosa, why not try Hotel Sinar Bulan.
It's diagonally opposite Formora and right above Queens.
Downstairs got cheap food and zhi zha too.

Rooms on the top floor the cheapest cuz no lift there.

Cheap places to eat will be the night street hawkers located along the road on the right side when u exit the hotel.

Spa u can go across the street around the corner from Circle K and u can find Atalanta Spa.

I dont like fast food, all the sweet and cheese thingy and so expensive somemore. Makes me so bloated up after a meal.

Always go for local food, so ask about fast food, always remember those I been to only.
