I believe there is a counter at custom for you to get hotel vouchers. Not too sure whether all the customs would have such services though especially since it's been more than 1 year since I've visited batam.

Frankly the exchange rate now makes me rather gian to re-visit Batam again.

i am planning to go bandung. Got this apartment at setiabudi. if you guys wanna shared with me and the cost of the apartment will be better. I guess per night around 50-60 dollars. I will stay there around 4-5 days. I have my own plan also but once a while we can go out together. The apartment is is similar to condominium type with swimming pool. The flight by air asia is around 90-130. Sorry if i post to a wrong thread

Where you going to stay?Berlian boat( wave Master) to Harbour Bay( Batu Ampar) is near many hotels. round trip is $48.

Penuin/ batam fast boat is to Batam Centre a bit cheaper, but if you stay in Nagoya Area, better take Wave master, and faster by 40 Minutes too.

Most Hotels are safe, just dont take drugs, and anyhow go about and you will be ok.

By the way, the gal ask you to go over, for sight seeing? and others

? How you get to know her? Know her very well or not?

Thanks for the info. Guess will perfer to go Harbour Bay. The girl i dare not disclose lar, wait many other samsters go after her i will be left high and dry liao

Just near to nagoya plaza, there is this small hotel above a coffeeshop, can try there. Five stars hotel.. or hotel indah or can try fomasa hotel as i guess there is a lot of singaporean there swiss in behotel also not bad.

Nearest hotel, u try Amir Hotel. Quite new. Last x I checked in rate @ S$50/-. Nite x can try seafood stalls . Rows of them. 5-10mins walk from hotel. Very nice ambience (seafoof stalls) near the sea...
