I have seen all your posts in these 2 threads (Batam, Bintan, Balai Field reports & Batam Info Thread) since year 2005. Most of them are very interesting. Amazing, until now these threads are still alive. Keep it up bros.

Anyway, I have been in batam since year 2001 until now. Once a month, I used to go with my friends who are now unable to made it due to lost of job or working in other country. I am now looking for new kakis (preferably 2/3 persons) to go together. New bees are welcome as I know the areas well, Nagoya, Jodoh, Pelita, Penuin, etc. I am willing to show you around but before we go together, we must have the same interest e.g. :

1)Karaoke (I don’t like disco), booking from KTV or fishtank (Much safer, FL I discourage due to a few incidents which have happen to my friends).

2)Embarrassing to say, I only stay in budget hotel, e.g. Prima Asia, Hallo Batam, Sinar Bulan, etc.

3)Massage.

Well, all expenses will be equally share among bros eg, karaoke, seafood, taxis. probably I will be going for a 1 night 2days trip on 23.1.09 (Friday). If you are interested, pls give me a message with your contact or e-mail address and we will discuss further.

To all bro who are planning to cheong Batam, the local Customs are now frisking through wallets and bags for 4D papers and Big Sweep tickets. they will alleged that you bring them in for selling to the local and ask you to go to the room to pay under table. Also dont bring CDs, DVDs, even though they are non- XXX. They will also check your handphone for any XXX materials. So remove your phone memory card(if possible).The local officials are getting desperate to cari uang.
The local rates for gals has also gone up due to rising cost of living- between Rp50,000 to Rp100,000. The task force from Jakarta will be going back soon.

Just came back from a 5 days 4 night trip in batam....did meet up with bro sporeinbatam.....had seafood at lingga at nagoya hill....quite a friendly and nice guy....(bro thanks for the toko jamu recommendation, took me some time to find what i want)

well...saw the posts from several brothers that cannot bring in 4d tickets, condoms etc...i think maybe this depends on luck also......i hope i also remain lucky.....bring in condom from singapore and 4d tickets(my ger want me to buy for her)....come back to and fro...did not meet with any incidents....thought of bringing in cigarettes.....don't know can anot.....

meet several singaporean families there at nagoya hill....can see by how they talk with the lah and leh........

stay at i hotel.....well...this point i must mention, the staff there really can twist their words around...i call them to book a room, they says per night SGD90 no need deposit...but when i reach there, must give...lucky got enough cash...if not habase.......

thought of meeting other singaporean bros from this forum at batam...but think no fate to meet them...only saw bro sporeinbatam......

Was bk on 040109 from my 2D/1N trip in Batam.Overall experience,ok lah,but will be back 4 more.Below is my humble FR,abit longwinded,so,Sorry.....

Reach harbourfront at abt 1030hr on 030109,took the 1215hr ferry to harbourBay(Batu Amput)Check at the $changer,rate was:S$1---7200Rp.Reach at abt 1205hr(indo time),went straight to find counter(KAHA) after checkpt,intending 2 book hotel rm but could not find KAHA instead saw only 1 counter tat do reservation of hotels but name is different 1 leh .Anyway check with the staff & she say only left with Puri Garden Hotel,price was S$70(cos is Sat).Find it abit X 4 me & my frz,so decided 2 call bro sporeaninbatam 4 any advice.Was advice, juz pop into any budget hotel & check the rates.

Board into a cab & off we went 2 find hotel,1st destination i hotel:S$85(standard rm),Goodway:S$80(standard rm),Famosa:S$80(standard rm),was damn tired after trying few hotels,abit sian so told driver 2 juz bring us 2 Hotel Utama.358,000Rp(deluxe rm) took it & was quite pleased with it(took the rm photos but dun noe how to post it).Call up Bro sporeaninbatam 4 programs but was told actually he was outstation tat day,will only be back on Sun,so did not meet up with him in the end.Guess will be next time bro.(Btw bro,wat happen 2 yr pts??? -58 ).

Went 2 do some shopping at Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre,was quite a big shopping place with a Hypermarket at 1st floor.Bought some clothes 4 my nephew,price was cheap,need 2 produce something at least won't get into too much asking frm family,hehe.....Change at the shopping centre,rates at: S$1---7500Rp. Next proceed 2 Sport Massage centre 4 a good rub down.120,000Rp for 90mins,160,000Rp for 120mins,there is traditional,thai mixing,thai combination massage.Took the thai com. for 90mins & was not disappointed with the skills.Came out of the massage centre was hungry,went 2 Nagoya Hill Food Court 4 dinner.Food was so so but price was X.Cost both of us abt 300,000Rp for a fish,a fried beef with kailan,a hotplate beancurb & a 一品锅.

Went 2 Dynasty,Femina(hope spelling is right),Queen,Berlian,Indah2,Jungle minda,Bougeinvilla,Indah,Sedona.Finally i took 1 frm Sedona,while my frz took 1 frm the driver recommendation.Mine cost 500,000Rp,while his cost 350,000Rp.Looks wise is abt 6.5/10 4 both of them.Went bk 2 hotel & tat was like 2100hr(indo time).Service-wise 4 my gal was like 6/10 for overall.BJ,FJ(given birth be4) was only so so.Mine was 25yrs old.Anyway overall went for 2 shots & was quite ok lah.

Did not visit Pacific Disco as both of the gals say they do not wan 2 go,so we went to the pub at the lobby of our hotel & hv some drinks while watching some dancers doing some pole dancing.Some look quite chio,maybe next time can ask around.

Gave her 50,000Rp as tips in the morning & sent her back be4 proceeding 4 breakfast at the hotel(was included).As time is still early 4 my departure,we went 2 the back of the hotel,call DC Mall for last min shopping.

Paid the driver 120,000Rp for the 2D/1N transport fee & off we come bk to
Spore.
