Depends on what pass the ML is holding?

If social visit come into sg, normally Within 2-3days must leave sg Liao.

If work permit, then case throw to MOM. Take special pass. Ding dong around. Months usually for MOM to investigate. Have cases up to years if the company director run away. They might have to stay as witness etc.
