Then i realize and recalled that there's cases of them trying to pickpocket you, so i spoke to my frens in chinese and asked them to check their belongings and put their hands in pocket to avoid being pickpocket. The experience was funny at first, and got horrifying towards the end. My friend almost punched the ladyboy but i stopped him to avoid us getting into trouble. She only stopped chasing us when we were about to reach our hotel. What a scary 1st night in HCM.

Day 2

Started off the day with buffet breakfast, then we started moving towards all the shopping malls nearby. (Had earlier asked for places to go from receptionist and had planned the journey all along) Went to a few places to let the girls shop all the way from the hotel towards REX hotel, which we stopped at maybe 4-5 shopping malls along the way. And then went to eat at a restaurant recommended by receptionist nearby the post office as thats the final spot to go. overall tiring and the food is not even really good, but dam costly.. Finally reached post office and took a taxi back because we dont want to walk back anymore. In the evening, we went for dinner and this is the best food i've tasted so far. Its a noodle shop, opposite of Trung Nguyen coffeehouse along the same street as our hotel. MUST TRY. Its not cheap and small portion, but the food is really good. After the food we walked around and say Du Yen Dang 1. We saw places like this in the net and decided its a must try. we asked for the price and it was about 200k for hair wash and massage, and 100k tips must be given to the girl. So some of us tried, 4 guys and 2 girls and the rest didn't want to. I chose the most beautiful girl among them immediately and let the rest settle themselves. My friend manage to negotiate for an extra facial which is not included in the package for all of us. So we went and wash hair and then facial and then massage, nothing really special. But i kinda liked the girl so i asked for her no and surprised that she gave it to me. After everything finished i actually tipped her 200 instead of 100. Later at night she kept asking me to find her tomorrow before i go back. After we're done, head back to hotel and prepared for the night life. 3 guys and 2 girls and we took a taxi to hai ba trung area with the help of receptionist. We searched for a few places that was recommended by my friends who had done some research and found out that the places are just normal drinking places and not a clubbing scene. So after walking for very long and couldn't find the place we wanna go, we rmb being introduced a place call sin lounge. It was tough trying to tell the taxi or the locals that we want to go to sin lounge. No one seems to know about it. I had to google the place and finally the taxi driver say ok ok and started driving us there. But because he couldn't locate the place, finalyl when we reach, we felt quite bad and gave him a little more then we were supposed to. about 100k. Outside sin lounge, we felt so excited because the place looks so high class. My friend didn't wanna go in cause he wears short pants only and thought we wouldn't be allowed in. But i went to ask and the waiter there say its ok. Outside we already saw some porche and mercedes. When going in, we saw some hot girls keep following some rich looking guy out, and thought he must be getting lucky.

Saw the club inside and felt it wasn't so bad (we didn't know that there's working girls there, we thought they're all patrons). Ordered macallen 12years for about 2.9m. Didn't know mixers and everything else is chargeable. music was fine, and mostly is tourist except for the girls. So was kinda weird because at 1am or so, suddenly... just suddenly ALL the girls disappeared... then only we realize that those girls are hired to work there to entertain customer....asked for bill finalyl came to about 4.1m... Dont ask me how it come to that price, as i didn't really check the bill. Went back to hotel and 1 of my friend actually got itchy brother, so the 2 of us gave him the room to himself and went down to search a girl for him, talked to the pimp outside our hotel and he called a few girls for us to choose. We chose 1 quite chio and the damage was 40USD. The girl was allowed into the hotel although its a 4 star hotel at 4am. We waited for him outside the hotel, and not long later the girl came out and walked in the the dark, and not long after, my friend also came down. He told us the girl look is not bad, but the service is bad. Immediately ask him to bath, and when he dont want, she went to shower herself and came out lying like a dead fish. My fren said he had to service her for a moment and later decided to just get it over with. Shot and got it over with. Then we all went to sleep.

Day 3 final day

Just walk around after breakfast and needed to change more money so manage to get a better rate at money exchange compared to goldsmith and was quite surprised at it, and then around lunch time, me and 2 other guys manage to ditch the girls and went back to duyen dang so i could see my girl. This time the 2 frens say they take VIP for 500, and i solo vip for 300. I knew they wanted me to have solo time with my girl so i just took the offer. The price for VIP was supposed to be 300k and 300 for the girl tips. Inside the room before massage she say she really happy to see me again and already hug me and i just hug her, and then we kissed a little and i took the chance to just explore her body a little bit, but nothing hamsap yet as i was nervous and dont know the procedure here. Then after sometime, she say okie, she gonna massage me and i say okie. So the massage starts and we just keep talking about everything like getting to know each other more (already did some the day before) and occasionally she would kiss me and i would take my chances to touch her thigh. I really didn't know what to expect but man i would have loved to bonk her there and then, but i knew chances was slim. A little hanky panky here and there but nothing serious. Before the job is done, i just took her to sit and gave her some massage. could see that she's quite touched. And when the time is finished, i tipped her much more then i should... i gave her about 400k dongs, and some smaller change, and my last 20-30 USD thinking i wont be using the dongs and the USD in short time. And i just wanted her to be happy. Then its time to go back, at the airport, a little regret giving her all the money....because i couldn't even order a burger king to eat when we're all dam hungry adi...

Anyway lesson learnt from here, because after i came back, she still always text me and chat with me, but i realize her topic is always she got no money, no customer, ask me buy her gift, send to her, or western union send money to her....then i realize.. she prolly didn't really like me as a bf back then like she said hahaha. How naive of me....

Lesson learnt from this 1st trip in HCM.

1. Do not order taxi from those company in airport, i believe a metered taxi would cost maybe 150k dongs at max. as compared to 25USD which is about 500k dongs....
2. Do not order taxi from hotel either.
3. Do not trust eating place recommended by receptionist, all the recommendations sucks and is expensive, the only good place i ate at is the place we found ourself and just decided to give it a try.
4. DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT WALK ALONE IN THE NIGHT ALONG THE STREET. sorry for the caps, but we were really quite shaken after that because the ladyboy is seriously rough, and with that pretty face its hard to just whack her like that. But if you really happen to encounter this, Please take care of your belongings because upon coming back to Msia, my friend told me he had exactly the same experience, except that he actually got pickpocketed.
5. HCM is not really a place to shop, or maybe it was just me, i didn't find anything interesting enough for me to spend money buying, except for the coffee.
6. Do not go with girls if wanna chiong.
7. The Duyen Dang girl told me to always check the bill at clubs as they tend to put in extras to newbies like me. So please check your bill and make sure that its billed correctly. Because i myself noticed that in the menu the macallen is 2.9m, but when the bill came i think i saw 3.2m.
8. Mixers cost a BOMB in HCM, each can of mixer is 100k dong, which is unheard of in msia, sorry for my noobness. So becareful of how you mix.
9. Go into a tourist club, and expect to be chopped like a tourist. The total wasn't too much for us, almost same like in msia, but in HCM, we expected it to be cheaper, But then good experience also for us and the girls.
10. Do not get a girl from the motorcycle pimp. From experience and what i read, they usualyl do not have good service.
11. Do not overtip, even at the asking price tip i already felt its expensive... but i'm always soft hearted towards girl...especially pity pretty girl (really gotta learn to control this urge to help them)
12. After reading from alot of forums this time, realize that places like Duyen Dang can go for experience, but dun think can expect very fun thing to happen.

I hope the above give some insight for some newbie solo traveller to HCM and how to avoid being stupid like me.

This time around I'm going again on 1st of Aug - 4th of Aug, and sincerely hope that there's some senior who can bring me around to live like a local... i always prefer this way.

My plan for this trip (i bring along a friend who was also electrified by a girl from Duyen Dang) is to return to that place, and this time try to score our girl. However i have a good feeling that i will fail looking at how our chats were after i came back to Msia. But im just not happy that spent so much but didn't get much in return. Its my own fault anyway. Im usually really shy with girls.. and thus dun dare to do anything also.

Well plan B is to learn to chiong like the rest of you. So i would really appreciate is someone can show us around, or at least give us some guidance on how to move about.

I have yet to book my hotel because i earlier contacted another person from another forum thinking he could bring me around since he offered that, but no replies so i guess im on my own.

Im really not familiar with HCM city places, but a little search on google map, i was able to find out that the restaurant that serves stewed lamb at 45 au co, is freaking far from the place i stayed previously.

Even places i read from other forum like ROSE is also quite far away. So i really dont know how to go around and where to stay. I wouldn't wanna visit 91 Hai Ba Trung as i feel the price is quite costly and there's alot of mixture of opinions. I believe NONE of the seniors would visit there, so i prefer not to go there. KTV mentioned by H88, MIFA and a few others who've joined H88 sounded very very good, with the girls quality and also the price.

Targeted things to try this time is bbbj/hj joints, ST or maybe LT, and any type of other fun activities.

Again if there's senior who could show me around during that period, please let me know. I would be happy to buy us dinner and drinks.

I have pm H88, hopes that he will reply me soon ^_^. And i do not know how to prove that im not a clone, but i figured that i can show my booking with airasia showing that im really visiting HCM city on those dates.

Is RM acceptable for exchange in HCM?

I was told they dont accept so i change it from RM > USD > Dongs @ HCM

Im quite bad at maths, so if there's anyone who can help me, its much appreciated.

i changed RM > USD @ 3.065
USD 100 > dongs @ 2.1m

Or i think i rmb RM > dongs will get around 1.51 at that time.

How to determine if its more worth to change from Rm > USD > Dongs
or RM > Dongs?

How about if i change from Rm > SGD > dongs? because i go SG quite often and wouldn't mind keeping some SGD rather then USD.

I think that time i change SGD is around 2.48.

Im sorry because im really bad at maths, so i wont know which is more worth it.

The DJ stopped spinning, the lights were turned on, bouncers were on standby. But the main antagonist just stood there with his jaws dropped, obviously shaken by the size of my gyarados.

The room was suddenly filled with lust. Girls start licking their lips, a few of them were already dripping wet. Even those guys who were taunting me, suddenly started crying in shame. Everyone was begging to suck my gyarados. I shouted "No rushing, it's enough for everyone.".

One of the best nights I had. Some girls even went for second round.

yes, guaranteed accepted...all major currencies are accepted in Vietnam...I had seen cho ben thanh stores accept payment in Ringgit...infact some sales gilrs are able to speak pretty decent malay...quite a big group of Malaysian tourist daily in hcm...

whenever you change Ringgit to USD then to VND or any currencies, you will lose out on exchange loss...here is double exchange losses...

example -

3.065 Ringgit = 1 USD = 21,000 VND
3.065 Rinngit = 3.065 x 6900 = 21,148 VND

you can try comparing this way:
1RM--> VND = ??
1RM--> USD--> VND =??

Today's exchange rate is:
1RM = 6640VND
1RM = 0.31USD = 6570VND (1USD = 21200VND, so 0.31USD = 6570VND)

Which makes little sense to change twice (Rm> USD, USd> VND) but then again, it depends on how "generous" the goldsmiths are.
It will only make sense if 1RM gives you more USD than usual(likely the case if they like to clear their currency), or USD gives you more VND than usual, which you have to work out.
