Ithere is a question inthe arrival card that she need to fill in, something like have u ever been prohibited to enter sg before, she did not fill it, so she was questioned at the checkpoint but she did not understand,
Cannot understand, don't know how to fill up, Better Clarify ... Don't ask and leave it empty and they ask you , they will think you are not truthful so they will bring u in for questioning ..

Whether enough ot not depends on the gal if she have any bad records or laws and etc ...
In General .. what the officer said is true ... this is the Basic Assessing Criteria ..
Standby at least $1k ...
You do not need to indicate your NRIC ... Inthe Address Portion.. It will be good if she fills in your address .. Then write your contact number after the address ... That will increase her credibility
Normally when u are back with her, you NRIC are recorded behind on her DE Card. That's happen to me all the time when I brought my wife. gf then into Singapore.
Whatever she can provide will increase her credibility into entering Sg BUT no necessary you sure can comes in ...

My suggestion is Don't ask this type of Qn and Get Answer here, BETTER call ICA and clarify this .. NO Joke if wrongly fill up and it would result in Refused Entry and/or a Ban. Don't KPKB here is u follow and result is otherwise ...
Good latest 1st hand dialoged feedback between senior officer & Bro tiancai007, thanks for the write up & Bro shysaint for valuable point to point clarification, yours times & effort in sharing will certainly help many Bros have better preparation in making wishes come true
Thanks You & Good Health
Hi all i have a vietnamese gf for about 3 years . Recently she has been caught by the police and repudiated back to vietnam and ban from coming to singapore for the next 3 years . My question to the bros here that after 3 years will she be able to be removed from the black list and allowed to enter singapore to get married have anyone know or heard anyone that had tried and succeeded . and if i were to appeal against the duration of the ban will it effect the chances of her re entering singapore after the ban is up. btw she was not caught working but just on the streets of gl trying to buy some food .

after 3 years can come back with a gurantor. but will not be removed from blacklist.
still can get married here
no point appealing the duration of the ban. you just have to wait till the ban is lifted.

repudiated...according to meaning is
1. Refuse to accept or be associated with.
2. Deny the truth or validity of.
think should be repartriated -
Send (someone) back to their own country
in my opinion you are repudiated...

Hi Bros out there. I faced an issue with ICA recently. My wife (vietnamese) is recently due for an renewal of her long term pass. She was required to undergo medical checkup which includes x-ray at chest. Unfortunately, she is likely to diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB).
Our family doctor referred us to SATA which i did the research online that the cost of treatment is lower there. However, ICA rejected our application and insisted that we did the treatment at TTSH. Currently, she is on one month extension basis and we have to renew her stay every month (need to show prove of treatment at TTSH) at ICA till her treatment is completed 6 month later.
Did any bros here faced this issued with ICA or know the cost of the treatment at TTSH?

She wasn't caughtintheact? The ban normally last 6-months and classified as A under the ICA System. Currently, its still an un-written policy. For the 3-years ban, its normally sentence passed down by the Judge? Pardon me if i'm wrong KT-ge
but if kanna denied entry. The best way is to apply for re-entry permit. Takes approximately a month.
And do not expect the officer to call you (TS) if she's kanna denied entry. Under the white card, no guarantor name field is provided and even if she comes with a permit, they still do not need to call you because the rights of guarantor only starts after ICA Clearance.
The two possible ways to minimize the risk of U-turn flights. (Only applies to those not working but still scare because they are citizens of these countries which provides lotsa Viet, Filio, China etc)
1. You fly there and back together with her. Anything wrong, you explain to the officer on her behalf. Do not clear ICA first. Even if you are Singaporean, go through the same Queue as foreigners.
2. Schedule Week-days morning flights. If you waited for 1hr and she's not out yet, get the contact number of the ICA Station using the belt number at the counter. Call to find out. If the officer said denied entry, go to HQ ICA to apply before its too late. But if the officer haven't inked the holy stamp onto her passport, explain to the officer the reasons and the officer will meet up with you outside at the arrival hall to clear things out.

I have cases on 7 months and 1 Year ....
ICA have the Power to Issue 3 Years or more ... Ban you for life ... No need to be Sentence by the Judge. Those who are Suspected List are Barred from Entering SIngapore .. thats even before stepping foot into Singapore ... where got chance to meet the judge ?
MY friend's VB is banned for 1 year without even stepping into Singapore.

Yes there is NO gaurantor name field nor a box for you to field a reference name and contact.
Normally before the ICA officer ask you ... What you can do is write down your name and contact after you have fill up your address.
If you are inthe office, YES, high chance the officer will call and chat with you and ask you questions ... if you amswer wrongly and not up to their expectations ... good luck to your gal.
After they call you .. if they allows your gal to comes out , you HAVE to bring your IC personally and go to the airport to pick up the gal.

This is the first time I read people recommended this Option ... IMHO .. it is NOT going to work ! ... Read the R&R ... it states .. in summary .. "the frontline ICA Officer have Every SIngle rights to denied your entry if they thinks he/she is NOT fit to enter Singapore "...
IF they allows u to do that .. I think they can change the R&R liao ... no need to empower the front line officer

SATA supposed to be specialist for treatment of TB, don't understand why ICA insisted for treatment at TTSH My bx also done her heart check & HIV test at Sata, no problem when submitting to ICA. I believe you are able to use your medisave to cover her treatment cost here since she already your legal wife, wishing your bx a speedy recovery, take care
I've been seeing my current girlfriend for about 2 years. She's Thai. I knew her in Thailand, back in 2008. I was travelling there for work quite frequently and got to know her through friends.
in 2009, she was retrenched from her job. with a bit of free time, she started visiting me on a monthly basis. I was aware of the 30 day tourist visa thing so we made arrangements to stay in singapore for 3 weeks, then she'd go back to thailand for a week, then come back again.
Things were fine for about 3 months, then on her fourth visit here, she got questioned at the checkpoint about her frequency of visit, but was subsequently free to come in. It raised concerns, so we took the initiative to go to ICA and enquire about the possible reasons for such 'questioning' at the airport checkpoint.
I was advised by the officer inthe interview room that it's normal routine questioning and there should not be much to worry about, as long as she abides by the following rules:
1. That she does not illegally stay past the allowed days stated on her tourist visa
2. That she carries sufficient cash to prove she has sufficient means of living while staying in singapore
3. That she does not engage in any form of illegal activities during her stay in singapore.
Ok, that set our minds at ease, and we continued with our arrangement. On her 6th visit, she was detained at the checkpoint, and deported back to thailand. no reason given, no questions entertained.
I've since written in an appeal for re-entry, and even tried getting a student pass application for her, which were all rejected. Again, no reasons given, and according to ICA, they are not obliged to give any reason for refusing entry to anyone.
She is not a working girl, neither has she gotten into trouble with the law before, either in thailand or in singapore. she also has not come to singapore before she knew me.
Now i am filing for marriage for us and is appealing to ICA again to let her come in.
Have you guys experienced this? hope you can give me some advice what i can do.
