I know one singaporean who lives here. He had cancer, and was waiting to die. So he shifted to Batam, found a wife, who had a kid. used the rental of his flat in Singapore to cover the daily expenses staying there. Still alive as I know. More than 15 years already. Taking a day at a time.
Another case is a man older than me, 60s already. Married a 50 plus year lady, adopted a kid. Works in singapore, go back during weekends. Pretty good life.
One more that I know is he married a local. had 2 kids, n he is doing fine. Last I know is he trying to get the kids to singapore for school.
Not all cases are bad lah. Depend on how u control the money. End of the day, all of us dies, and we wish to be where we are happy, before we go.
