Re: Temple to pray..
A group of people love to seek winning in gambling, they will not hesitate to pray at strange temples. I recall back into the 90s, straits times run an article of some not popular temples in this country.
One such I recall which may have relocated is a temple devoted to a deity by the name of Miss Wang. She look like the goddess of mercy but in overall white form. Today her statue could be found at Toa Payoh Shuang Li temple.
Legends has it she commits suicide because being fame of seducing a rich man. So her spirit did not rest in peace but she grand wishes to devotee. However those with I cannot recall same surnames, with the buster who done her wrong, better not hang around in her temple.
And if I am not mistaken, 10 years ago few make shift temples (devoted to Miss Wang) were spotted around this country. PT during 2007? May also have a small temple behind the brothels. That was before CSM came about.
Careful in what you wish for.
