An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

My strongVPN was pointed to San Francisco. Google never believed that. Insisted I was in Japan. Every time I did a google search, a few japanese websites would always come up and my browser would be pointing to google.jp.co. I had to manually tell Google to dish out only English websites. I tried setting location to US but failed. When I visited Youtube, Youtube also believed i was in japan and denied me access to paid movies! WTF!

So I switched server to Los Angeles. Still in California, no doubt (just changed from northern state to southern state -HAHA!). Now, google believes I am in the Netherlands.

I have tried visiting all the IP revealing websites like cmyip, whatismyip, and they all confirm my IP is a USA IP.

Only google thinks I am halfway round the world.
