More and more guys with cameras conning ladies to do shoots?

Saw a rise of threads recently from wannabe guys who claimed to be photographers asking ladies to do paid shoots with them to earn quick cash

But the ladies did not know even though that the guys pay them $200 to $400 for the shoots, they earned 3 times back the amount by reselling them to different buyers at the same time.

After that , they post them on ad links to earn more money and paid forums to earn extra more money.

By the time the ladies found out, they still need to fork out extra money to pay the guys to buy back the copyrights if they wish to stop the circulation of the pictures.

Saw a smart guy recently who bought swimwear from taobao to sell them more expensive to local ladies and then use the money earn to find models to shoot them in swimwear. Then he would persuade them to do lingerie shoot and act as middlemen to earn money as well.

Normal shoot that costs $100 to $150 will become $150 to $200. A profit of $50 for doing connections for the models.

Calculating here and there, I think the guy can earn $4000 to $6000 per month if there are lots of carrot heads.

Magazines like Playboy and Penthouse used this business model for for more than half a century. They paid girls to do nude shoots and then sold the magazines and made a 500% return on investment.

The magazines large circulation also meant they could earn yet more money selling advertising space.

As long as the model release form does not misrepresent what the images are to be used for everything is perfectly legitimate.

10 years ago when not many "photographer" out there, it is easy to impress girls when you can take good photo of them.

No money involved, and i get to bed them too :) Some even become my FB

I think TS does not understand how do GWCs work....

They do not think themselves as conning but persuading...

There was a photographer I slept with before who managed to get his silly ex gf to pay for all his photography equipment using credit card. Until now the poor ex gf still need to work like hell to pay all his debts. People think he conned the ex gf, but to me more like he persuaded her to pay for him,

This guy has around 10 to 15 camera bodies if I did not remember wrongly.

All the cosplay xmm worshipped him like god to do shoots with him. he even asked me to cosplay as hestia so that his lil bro could stand longer....

SO did he con all the xmms? nope not at all.

There are also many GWCs buying followers in Facebook pages and Instagram to boast how "great" their photography skills are... But in my own opinion, they are crap. Only stupid ladies believe they are good...
