Yes, you sound stupid. But, anyway, I know that you can only registered from China side (if I'm not wrong). From what I know, what my friends did were, they asked their China gfs aka mistresses to register for them and send over the IDs and passwords.

Is it true that those china telco will continue to charge the QQ accounts every month even not in use? Or will they charge the accounts in the first place? :rolleyes: My wife told me about this, I told her QQ is like mRIC, it's FOC. Telcos only charges the usage of modem thru telephone. Am I wrong?

Registering of QQ will cost you 1rmb and this amount is deducted by the subscriber mobile phone (as china phones are mostly pre-paid). This 1 rmb is for the basic subscription so that you can play some games and chat over QQ which will suffice for all users. But there are some people who will pay additional amount every month for some special features.

Normal usage is free and the user are required to pay for the internet charges.

Hope this is helpful to our bro who miss their MM in china. :D

Alternatively, you can use MSN as most chinese also uses it. Anyway, it is free too...

Concur with what bro Just4fun mentioned and to add on a bit, charges will be cheaper if someone is paying over there for you (that's why my friends' gfs/mistresses are doing now). Why is that so, I'm not so sure. Pricing will be different if you subscribe to different services.
