An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Very delighted tonight to be having dinner with a wonderfully talented and brilliant Greek God and we are talking about the works of Goethe.
I like this kind of deep intellectual discussion. Nine out of 10 Singaporean men don't even know who that is. They think it is some footballer.
They quarrel and come to punches over some referee's decision in a football match. The country is gone - all uncouth alcoholics and no refined gentlemen anymore.
There is only one small problem - he says the dinner is Dutch whereas a Singaporean man would 100% pay the bill. But I can overlook that small matter.
